Hi, Firstly, I would like to verify whether only this computer could not remote Windows 2008 R2? Have tried use the same account with another Windows 7 computer to check the result? Meanwhile, you can following this Why cant I connect using Remote Desktop Connection? Also, I suggest you create a new admin account and login on the machine with new created account to check the result. Hope this helps. Vincent Wang TechNet Community Support

Hi, Please try to temporarily disable the firewall and the anti-virus program to test the issue. In addition, clear the credentials in Credential Manager to check the result. Also, you can refer to the steps in this similar thread http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/w7itpronetworking/thread/f6eefd1f-88d9-434c-a2f8-7789651d6b9a Hope this helps Vincent Wang TechNet Community Support
